MOBILE SHOWERS ATLANTA

Volunteers arrive at approximately 10:00 a.m. for sign-in, name tags, orientation, and assignment to a service station. Volunteers help set up the trailer, tables, tents, chairs, and supplies before service begins. They stay to help with breakdown. No specialized experience is required. We provide the orientation and direction volunteers need. 

Volunteer stations include:

• Sign-In & Welcome: Welcome neighbors, assist with sign-in, explain site flow, and distribute appropriate items based on whether they are showering. 

• Distribution: Help neighbors select clothing, toiletries, hygiene items, and other available essentials.

• Recent Donations: Sort newly received donations for distribution, Goodwill, or disposal.

• Community Table: Help serve food and drinks to neighbors. Food is reserved for neighbors. Volunteer snacks, when available, are kept separate.

• Suite Cleaning/Turnover & Site Support: Refresh suites between neighbors, restock supplies, help manage the shower queue, and keep the entire site free of debris.

• Trailer Operations: A closed volunteer team responsible for operating the trailer and shower suites. This is not a station for new volunteers.

All volunteers help welcome neighbors, navigate site flow, and address special needs as they arise. Volunteers remain at their assigned station unless directed by service-day leaders to help elsewhere.

Service ends at approximately 2:00 p.m. All volunteers participate in breakdown and reset, including taking inventory and storing bins, tables, tents, chairs, etc. 

Minors are welcome - they must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or responsible adult. Site cleanup with grabbers can be a fitting role for minors when they are appropriately supervised. 

Please do not bring valuables with you. Keep any personal items with you at all times. Mobile Showers Atlanta is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS WILLING TO BRING HOT FOOD AND TAKE AWAY FOOD/SNACKS FOR OUR NEIGHBORS.

Help with set up, serve meals, clean up, break down.

• 4 Volunteers - Main Dish - Entree serving 10-15 people

• 5 Volunteers - Side Dish - Side, salad, vegetables, or fruit serving 10-15

• 4 Volunteers - Grab & Go Meals - 10 sack lunches or 12 individually wrapped  sandwiches

• 4 Volunteers - Desserts & Snacks - 12+ desserts or 24 individual snacks

• 5 Volunteers - Drinks - Case of water, soft drinks, juice, or other beverages

• 3 Volunteers - Ice & Condiments - Bag of ice or needed condiments/toppings 

• 4 Volunteers - Serving Supplies - Plates, cups, utensils, or napkins for 50-100 people

• 3 Volunteers - Special Contribution - Large food donation, restaurant donation, or other needed item
